Cebuanos in Kalanggaman Island

Everyone needs a little time away. Yes, away from the buzzing city life and stressful work, where all you worry about are the basic things such as food, water, and place to sleep while you get to enjoy nature at its best. Talking about nature,  

Philippines has been so blessed with natural resources be it in the mountains, seas, anywhere... you name it!

My team's quest for another adventure settled with the idea of camping, nature trippin' and swimming. Kalanggaman Island was deemed perfect for the thought. 

How to get there?
There are many ways to get there but our team opted to choose Bogo (North of Cebu), since this is one of the easiest and fastest way to get there.  From the City Proper, it took us about an hour and thirty minutes on a private vehicle to Polambato, Bogo where our boat-ride is waiting. We took this Port, since we were many... roughly around 30 pax, so we chartered a boat to the island for P12,000. Mind you, had I known, I would have opted for Maya or Nailon instead to pick a ride since the one we had isn't really for passenger ride. Apparently, we were toasted under the heat of the sun.

Some can opt to travel via Maya, the Port for Malapascua, where a boat-man can be commissioned. Mostly, vessels coming from this port would charge around P5,000-P7,500 for an overnight in the island.

The sandbar is a masterpiece.

Set-up your tents and get excited for the evening...

I will surely come back here. If only Kalanggaman Island is just a stone throw away, this will certainly be a favorite weekend getaway.

Sky Waterpark Soon to Open in Cebu!

Because this is just a walking distance from our humble abode, I got excited for the kids.

SKY WATERPARK Cebu is the Philippines' first and only waterpark facility built on top of a mall. 

Sky Waterpark Cebu is scheduled to open in January 2016 on the rooftop level of J Centre Mall, Mandaue City, Cebu.

Where are thou BPI

Symbol of strength, commerce and progress. Yes, that's what you are to me BPI AS FORTUNA/BANILAD. I never had an account with you for an unknown reason but I like you. Surely, I'll miss your ATM. It had served me well. 

However, as I drive around town today, I got excited with my newly found spot. Haha, unbelievably a new BPI Location just across SM City. Wow, it's just amazing! You loose something yet you build a new thing. Perfect for a story of moving on....

Perhaps this time, i'll get an account here. What do you think?

Why didn't I realize this place is a good spot afterall. They have a good reception of my Smart LTE and it's really cozy here.

I like the interior and the somewhat specious facade. Surely, I found another good spot in the neighborhood.

Heaven on Earth

It wasn't my norm to take an alternate route to my Production Site but having been challenged with what lies ahead of the winding road, with so much curiosity I took the chance.

It was a challenging steepy rough-road hill-climb before I got a share of a little smoothness of the road and found this breath-taking view.

I instantly fell in love with it and given the chance I'd stay longer to savor much of it's beauty.

In case you wanna know this is at Poblacion 1, Caipilan, Carcar Cebu.

Then and Now

Looking back some old posts I realized I missed writing. It was on April fools day of 2013 that I had my last post and nothing came thereafter.

Ironically, my last post was about the Marian Hills at Simala and today my first comeback post is a photo of the same place too.

Back then it was different. Now, the place is more developed and bigger. As expected, pilgrims are growing in number.  It's still in my bucketlist to swing by every once in awhile. 

Though this was taken last September 8, 2015 (late post I know), I still feel this is a good kick off to start blogging again.

Whew, it's really good to be back!
